A2 Accident solicitors is a niche personal injury firm owned by Paul Ackroyd and Kim Anderton. Both are qualified solicitors with over 12 years experience in dealing with Claimant accident related personal injury claims. Both Paul and Kim gained their experience whilst partners at a large Manchester city solicitors firm, Donns, having been employed there for 12 and 14 years respectively. In January 2003 they decided to move out of the city and into Rochdale to pursue their careers and set up their own practice. This was achieved by the purchase of Louis Brody & Co. an existing personal injury firm.

Paul and Kim have and continue to act for Helphire PLC clients and have done so for many years. As such we have detailed knowledge of credit repair and hire agreements and the technical challenges that have affected car hire companies over recent years.

We are members of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS), The Association
of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and
the Law Society. Paul sits on the Manchester Law Society Council and its Civil Litigation committee. He is also a past Conciliation officer dealing with complaints for the Manchester Law Society.

A2 offers a quality, personal service to victims of accidents, something which we believe has been overlooked in recent years by many of the large Firms who deal with Personal Injury work. At A2 each personal injury claim is supervised closely by one of the Partners until its conclusion and we can offer home and hospital visits at times to suit the client. The client is provided with a direct telephone number for the fee earner and direct e mail access.

We have access to local medical experts who provide appointments for clients within 4 to 6 weeks. Where clients are farther a field we use the services of established medical agencies to arrange medical appointments in the client’s area.

We use ProClaim’s case management system from Eclipse, and actively welcome the use of e mail which we believe cuts delays and promotes a personal relationship with client’s who use the facility. Active diarisation allows cases to be progressed proactively and critical dates to be complied with. It also ensures that cases can be dealt with profitably within the predictable costs regime.

The system also allows us to produce tailor made reports for suppliers. These can include reports on new cases over a given period, closed cases over a given period or cases where a medical agency has been instructed and when.
